Whey Protein Concentrate WPC 35

Whey protein concentrate WPC 35 is a powdered dairy product containing about 35% whey proteins, with a high proportion of lactose and a certain level of minerals. It is produced by concentrating and drying the protein fraction of whey. WPC 35 has a light color, mild milky aroma, good solubility, and is suitable where a combination of protein and carbohydrates is required.

The basic raw material is cow’s milk, from which liquid whey is obtained during cheese manufacture. Production of WPC 35 includes:

  • Ultrafiltration of whey (retaining the protein fraction)
  • Concentration of the retentate
  • Spray drying into powder

The resulting concentrate is standardised for target protein, lactose, and moisture content to ensure consistent functionality in industrial applications.
