Native Rice Starch

Native rice starch is a natural starch extracted from rice kernels without chemical modification. It appears as a fine white to off-white powder, with mild or neutral taste and no odor. It is characterized by very small granule size, a slightly opaque suspension and the ability to form fine, smooth pastes with pleasant texture.   • milling and dispersing rice in water,
  • separating protein and fiber fractions,
  • isolating and washing the starch granules,

The process is carried out without chemical modification, so the starch remains “native”, suitable for products positioned as minimally processed and natural.

Variations

Commercial native rice starch types may differ by:
